Can't believe you've been in heaven a year, Tommy. I remember the day I grieved with your family and friends and "Grumman Family". I was still heart-broken having recently lost my Mom. I continue to pray for your family. Watch over them and continue to give them comfort knowing they will be with you again. Miss you Buddy.

It was my pleasure to work with such a wonderful person and leader. Tommy always greeted everyone in the morning, checked on them during the day and never missed saying goodbye at the end of the day.  The afternoon of the first day I met him, he stopped by to see how I was doing.  Tommy left an impression on me that day. 
He genuinely cared about his coworkers and friends.  The feeling was mutual.
Tommy will be sorely missed but not forgotten.  My prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

I went to school with Tommy from elementary school at Woodland Avenue through high school. He was such a nice guy. My condolences go out to his entire family for their loss. RIP Tommy. 



I was friends and a classmate of Tom’s from back in Woodland Ave school and through High school. He was always a very kind person. May he now Rest In Peace. 

I remember Tom from HS, always a smile and kind word. Flash forward I saw him in Church, St. James in East  Setauket. His boys were serving mass. 
I said hello, and our paths crossed many times while we lived out there. Still the same handsome, kind, smiling Man I knew in HS. 
Heaven has gained another angel. Sincere condolences to his beautiful children 💙

Tommy always provided a positive attitude when dealing with people and business issues. I will miss his kindness and ready laugh.


Tommy was truly one of kind. His kindness and professionalism towards everyone was amazing. He always had that positive and fun attitude, it was infectious. Whenever he saw me he would always say “Nicky” and ask how I was doing. Tommy will be missed by a lot of people.  May he rest in peace.

I was lucky enough to have worked with and for Tommy for the last 5 years. He was the best boss, and mentor I could have asked for. He taught me so much from a work perspective, and always had my back when things were tough. He was such a great leader and always treated everyone with respect and kindness. He never missed a day walking through the halls smiling and saying hi to everyone. I also considered Tommy a great friend - we spent a lot of time laughing and talking about life, kids, and family.  He always told me how proud he was of his kids. 
I will always carry the lessons that Tommy taught me throughout my career and life. He was such a great man, will be so missed by so many people. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time. 

Tommy was a good guy, and he will be sorely missed. He was always quick with a smile and a joke. He'd help you whenever he could. 
I remember we used to mention hockey every time I'd happen to see him because he knew I played - I remember one time he said "how about those blue shirts", referring to a Rangers win, and I'd say "yeah, Toronto did pretty good" (they also wear blue). It was a funny exchange, but it was like that most times.  Gone too soon!


I knew Tommy as Cindy's big brother.  In the limited encounters I had as part of larger family gatherings, I always felt a gentle and pure kindness coming from him, and saw his fun and loving relationship  with the family.

My deepest condolences on your loss. May your memories of laughter and fun, and the warmth of that kindness and love, surround and comfort you in the days to come.

Our family is so saddened by Tom's passing, we will miss him and always keep him in our prays.

I can only imagine what it feels like to lose such a great man. My heart goes out to your family during this challenging time.  Tommy was a memorable person for sure! His kindness and laughter and, well, even just the sound of his voice will be part of our souls forever.  Gone but never will be forgotten Tommy Pirrung!

Tommy was a vibrant spirit... someone who brought a positive energy into the office every day. I've worked with Tom over the last few years and I can say he was easily one of my favorite co-workers in my time at NG. Someone who could bring a smile to a room and had an infectious laugh. He was someone who you could always rely on for sticking up for people and having your back. His knowledge was vast and was a vital cog to the machine here. I still can't imagine that I won't see him cruising around the office place. He made this place special because that's exactly what he was... a very special person. I can say that I will miss Tommy Pirrung greatly and will never forget the man he was.   

It was a great pleasure to work with Tommy, a Gentleman I greatly respected. When I saw him on a group Email recently, I messaged him privately to check in, as we had not spoken since I retired from NGC. His response brought a smile to my face and reminded me of all the time we spent together in Bethpage. Psalm23 and may Perpetual Light shine upon Tommy. Lord, I pray you continue to watch over Tommy's family and give them peace and hope, knowing they will one day be reunited with him. 

Tommy was such a genuine and caring person. I worked with him since my first day with the company, and over those 4+ years, I can't think of a time he didn't make me smile or feel important.  He was a wonderful friend and colleague. 

We will miss you my friend... 

Tommy touched so many lives for the good.  I'm grateful I had the chance to know him as both a colleague and a cherished friend. 

At work, Tommy loved walking the halls and being around his coworkers.  Every time you would look up, there he was with a smile asking if your okay and ready to help.  

Tom was always a gentleman and kind to all. 

Prayers for comfort and peace to his family.
