She was born Aug. 29, 1927 in Halifax County, NC, the daughter of Lloyd Ray and Mabel Shaw Britton. She was retired from Woodmark Furniture Company. She was a charter member of North Pointe Church in High Point, NC and served for many years as church secretary and treasurer. She was very involved in the women’s ministry and the music program.
She is survived by a son Rex Joyner of Charlotte, NC. Sisters Lula Martin, of Roanoke Rapids, NC Marie Hall of Emporia, Va. a brother, Martin Britton and sister –in –law Lula Britton. She is predeceased by her sisters Louise Manning and Thelma Jones and brother-in–law Herman Martin. She was deeply loved and will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their children.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:00 on Sunday Nov. 4 at North Pointe Church 5225 High Point Rd. NC (Old Hwy 311). Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00p.m. by the Reverend Darrell Greene at the church. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
