

Barbara was born in High Point, November 3, 1959, a daughter of the late Virgil Phillip Cecil and Velma Clyde Alderman Cecil. She was last employed by Alderman Studios. Barbara was of the Baptist faith and she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Cecil Williams; two brothers, Danny and Jimmy Cecil; niece, Angie Williams. She enjoyed going to church, traveling, playing bingo and sweepstakes.
Surviving are four brothers, Dennis, Tommy, Wayne and David Cecil; niece, Ashley Cecil Covar; a nephew, Ted Williams; uncle, Donald Cecil; aunt, Gladys Cecil; former husband, Johnny Canoy and step son, Jonsey Canoy; special friends, cousin, June Cecil and Debbie Meachum Hernandez.
A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held Tuesday, March 29 at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday 7 until 9 p.m. The family wishes to thank Dr. David Talbot as well as the staff of Hinkle Hospice House for their loving care of Barbara.
