Billie Delores Holt

Billie was born in Guilford County, December 20, 1944, a daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Newsome McDaniel. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Billie loved scrapbooking, feeding stray animals, shopping and maintaining her home. She loved traveling, especially visiting friends and having an afternoon beverage. Billie had a firecracker personality and made sure she always proved her point. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Holt; her son, Randy Holt; a grandson, Kenneth Michael Stone; a sister, Elizabeth Marie Sullivan and a brother, Walter McDaniel, Jr.

Surviving are three daughters, Sharon Mathis, Linda Zappala and Jody Lee Holt; five grandchildren, Adrienne Stone, Callie Mathis, Walker Holt, Michaela Lucas, Melina Zappala; a soon to be great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Floral Garden Park Cemetery by Scott Newsome. Memorials may be directed to the Guilford County Animal Shelter or Davidson County Hospice.
