

Mr. Bobby Lee Corn,81, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at High Point Regional Hospital. He was born on March 11, 1930 in Guilford County to the late Martin Luther and Fannie Sechrest Corn. Until retirement, he worked at Anvil Brand, BVD, and Colonial Freight Lines in shipping and receiving. He was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He was in the Army Reserves until 1962.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by brothers, Udel and Howard Corn and sisters, Irene Pendry, Ruby Haney, Alene Burrow and Azzlea Frith.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Hazel Mills Corn of the home; daughters, Lynn Corn of Norman and Denise Trivette of Archdale; sons, Michael Lee Corn and wife Shari of Scott Hill and Jody Lee Corn of Greensboro; sister, Wanda Chastain of High Point; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 26th at Oakwood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 –11 a.m. before the graveside service at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point.
