Bonnie Beth Burtoft 46 passed on March 13, 2014 at the Hospice Home in High Point. She was born June 6, 1967 at the Louisiana Naval Hospital in New Orleans to John Nelson Burtoft Jr. and Artie Anne Stillman Burtoft. Bonnie died after 16 years of declining Health. Bonnie loved life. She was a very good swimmer and loved the beach and mountains. Bonnie loved to travel. She moved many times as a child as her dad was in the service. She is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Richards and her brother John Nelson Burtoft III. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Smith Jr. and Jeffrey Smith of Kernersville, one granddaughter Kira Bare, her parents John and Sandy Burtoft of Florida, Traci Burtoft Kovalik of California and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014, 1;00pm at Sechrest Funeral Chapel in High Point to remember her life. A visitation will follow the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank everyone who gave Bonnie special care over the past years, especially her special caregiver, Carletta Murray. Thanks also to the doctors and staff at High Point Regional Hospital and to Hospice Home in High Point.
