Ms. Carol Levoyne Edwards, a resident of High Point, North Carolina, passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 87. Carol was born on April 1, 1938, in North Carolina. She was known for being a hard-working, humorous, and honest individual, as well as a Yorkie lover, a feisty spirit, and a strong fighter.
Carol married the love of her life, Toye Edwards. They shared a marriage of over 58 years. Her life was blessed with four beautiful children, Mamie, Callie Ann, Joey and Hillary. Carol was the daughter of the late William and Mamie Collins Tucker.
In her professional life, Carol worked and retired from Elder Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician. Her personal life was filled with joy and hobbies; she loved her fur babies and enjoyed ordering from the QVC channel. Carol also found pleasure in planting flowers and spending time in the garden. Her favorite drink was Dr. Pepper.
Carol was known for her wittiness and sarcasm, traits that were evident in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mamie Tucker; her loving husband of 58 years, Toye Edwards; her daughter, Mamie Smith; her granddaughter, Erin Browning; and eight siblings.
She is survived by her children; Callie Ann (Keith) Zuidema, Joey (Laurie) Edwards, and Hillary (Amy) Edwards. Carol also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Richard (Lucy) Snipes, Amanda Perdue (Danny Rivera), Brenton (Lauren) Zuidema, Bradley Zuidema, Mary Beth (Daniel) Jones, Caroline Edwards, Megan Edwards (Jack Oneil), and Ethan Edwards, along with six great-grandchildren: Haley, Zane, Westley, Ayla, Elias, and Teagan, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations of High Point, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park of High Point, NC.
