Carol H. Saunders

Carol was born in Galax, VA, December 30, 1941, a daughter of the late Roy and Laura Hawks Higgins. She worked at Jimmy's Pizza for 42 years. Carol was married to Ronnie Saunders, who passed away in 2006. She was a salt of the earth lady who was well respected by everyone that knew her.

Surviving are a daughter, Tina Osborne and husband Scott; a son, Mark Higgins; three grandchildren, Mark Higgins, Jr., Mitchell Smith and partner Nicole Jeans and Jessica Cashatt; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Nora Smith; a sister, Dorothy Higgins.

A Celebration of Carol's life will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Jim Summey. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
