High Point- Catherine Borders Howard, 87, of 135-1A James Road, died April 26, 2015, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Howard was born October 21, 1927, in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of Dewey Borders and Laura Crosby Borders.
She was a member of Westchester Baptist Church. On April 3, 1948, she married Troy Thomas Howard Jr., who preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters Elaine H. Ollis(Gary) and Donna H. Beisner(Bryan) both of High Point; son Brian E. Howard of High Point; brother, Jerry L. Borders(Jean Marie) of Charlotte; and five grandchildren, Robert Ollis, Aaron Ollis, Amy Beisner, Garret Beisner and Lyn Turner-Bush.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am at Sechrest Chapel on E. Lexington Avenue, by the Rev. Dr. Eric Peacock. Interment will be private in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sechrest Funeral Service Wednesday morning from 9:30 until 11 before the service.
