North Wilkesboro - Charles “Chuck” Elmo Compton III, 48, passed away on October 3, 2015, at his home due to complications of an outpatient surgery. Chuck loved life and never met a stranger. He loved his fur babies, The Grateful Dead, and Fantasy Football.
Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, Richard “Rick” Ross Compton; grandparents, Amanda Jean Compton and Charles Elmo Compton, Sr.; and grandfather, J.R. Crater.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Michelle Compton, and their fur babies; father, Charles Compton, Jr. (Carleene); mother, Susan Kersey (Roger); mother-in-law, Luretta Morgan ; father-in-law, Sonny Hepler (Linda); brothers, Chris Compton(Alejandra) and Larry Powell (Cindi); sister, Jennifer Carroll (Kevin); stepsister, Elizabeth Compton McNeil (Mike); brother-in-law, Jeffrey Hepler and fiancé Eleanor Tuttle; sister-in-law Megan Hepler; grandmother, Colleen Crater; special nephew, Jesse Compton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held on Friday October 9, 2015, at 6pm at Sechrest Funeral Service High Point Chapel.
