

Mr. Sells was born July 7, 1932 in Forsyth County to Fred W. and Louise Waynick Sells. He served his country in the U. S. Army. Mr. Sells was employed with Eastern Airlines for over thirty five years and served as head of the union for Eastern Airlines. He was a charter member of Oak View Baptist Church where he was an active and devoted member and demonstrated his integrity and devotion to his faith. Mr. Sells was a faithful and loving father and husband to his family and had many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Sells, his mother, Louise S. Smith, his first wife, Mary Evelyn Prince Sells, two sisters; Dorothy Idol and Carol Smothers; and a brother; Lawrence Sells.
On March 2, 1991 he married Blanchie Owensby who survives of the home. Also surviving are his daughters; Debbie Hobert and husband John, and Sandy Sells all of Ledyard, Conn., and Karen Dockery and husband Jerry of Cumming, Georgia. He has one step-son, Jason Orion Coe and wife Diane and their daughter Ashley McCann of High Point. Mr. Sells has seven grandchildren; Christopher, Chad and Michelle Hobert, Amber, Amanda, and Andrea Dockery, and Jack Nolan. Also surviving are his sisters, Elaine Clinard, Sudie Warren, and Peggy Marion all of High Point.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 4th at 2:00 p.m. in Sechrest Funeral Chapel in High Point with the Reverend Jerry Dockery, Reverend Bill McKinney, and Reverend Josh Tysinger officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m.
