Born in Guilford County on May 18, 1954, he was the son of Harry Lee Farmer and Lois Jeane Davis Farmer. A man of boundless creativity, Clifford could build anything from nothing. He adored his truck and loved taking it out for drives, especially to Carolina Beach, where he also enjoyed cruising in his golf cart. He loved the outdoors—grilling for family, cycling in his younger years, and later, relaxing at home in his chair with a Pepsi, his favorite shows, and a cigar. Family gatherings were his joy—holidays, birthdays—he was always at the heart of them. He never knew a stranger and was loved by all.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Kathy Farmer; his daughter, Stacy Shoemaker (Allen); his son, Billy Laughlin; his granddaughter, Kenzie; and grandsons, Jonah and Bailey.
A Coming Home Celebration Gathering will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home in High Point. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Randolph County.
