

Clyde was born in Randolph County, April 4, 1930, a son of the late Ratio and Eva Hopkins Cranford. He was an Army veteran of Korea and he was employed by Henredon for 33 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Hinkle Cranford and two brothers, James Wade Cranford and Herman Cranford. Clyde enjoyed gardening and being with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of twenty five years, Mary Cross Cranford; two daughters, Kim Brown and husband Jeff and Tabatha Elliott and husband Mark; two sisters, Helen Andrews and Linda Craven and husband Darrell; three brothers, Billy Cranford, Dale Cranford and Roy Cranford and wife Judy; six grandchildren, Brandi, Brittany, Madison, Taylor, Brent and Jose; three great-grandsons, Logan, Zaxton and Bentlee; nieces and nephews, and his pride and joy, Bella.
A Celebration of Clyde’s Life will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel by the Rev. Jack Luther. Burial with military honors will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and at other times the home of Kim and Jeff Brown.
