Daphne Motsinger

Mrs. Daphne Emma Moore Motsinger died June 4, 2011 at the High Point Regional Hospital. Mrs. Motsinger was born March 27, 1920 in Davidson County to Clarence and Laura Hammer Moore. She married John Brooks Motsinger in 1939 and lived most of her life in Kernersville. Mrs. Motsinger was a lifelong faithful member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant daughter, a beloved son, Nolan, and brothers Dwight and Seth Moore.

Mrs. Motsinger is survived by a daughter Linda Keiner and husband William of Fredericksburg, Va; a son, Hugh Motsinger and wife Betty Jo of Wallburg; grandchildren, Louis Keiner, Laura Swindells, William Keiner, Brian Motsinger, Kevin Motsinger, Priscilla Christopher, John Motsinger and Jeremiah Motsinger; and great-grandchildren, Emma Keiner, Seth Motsinger, Christian Dakin, Joshua Peters, Jackson Motsinger, and Grace and Drew Christopher. She also has one sister-in-law, Pansy Moore.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 am in Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Mark Hollar officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church parlor on Wednesday from 9:30 until 10:45 am prior to the service.
