Eddie Monroe Craven, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 surrounded by several members of his family.
Eddie was born in High Point, November 1, 1948, a son of the Solomon "Jack" Craven and Doris Setliff Craven. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. Eddie had a great sense of humor and was such a jokester. He graduated from High Point Central High School and attended GTCC. He and his golf buddies loved giving each other a hard time about that. Eddie was an avid dancer, who especially enjoyed country line dancing and two stepping. He loved teaching those dances to anyone willing to learn. He was a dedicated member of West Fairfield Baptist Church, serving on the security team.
Surviving are three daughters, Jeannie Williams (Lewis), Tamera Leonard (Chad) and Shelley Farmer (Joseph); two sons, James Craven (Leah) and Ryan Craven, (Laura); a sister, Brenda Johnson (Toby); two brothers, David Craven and Kavin Craven (Jeannine); 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
