

High Point- Frank Tredwell (Bradford) Harrison, 95, of High Point, died September 16th, 2016, at Brookdale High Point North. He was born January 24, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Frank Foster Harrison and Helen Tredwell.
Frank served in World War II in the Coast Guard as a Radioman Third Class for four years, and was honorably discharged in 1946. He graduated in 1950 from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He was a resident of High Point for 47 years. Frank was employed by Crown Hosiery Mills, serving as their Controller for 25 years before retiring. He joined the Hospital Guild in 1992 and was treasurer for several years. Frank received the Volunteer of the Year Award in 1993 and was awarded the highest honor, the Order of the Dogwood, in 2008. He also worked many years with S.C.O R.E as treasurer. Frank was active with Contact Services. He was a member of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir for many years.
His interests were Debonaire Dance Club, bridge, and going to the beach.
Surviving family members are one daughter, Helen Lucile Chandler and husband George of High Point; two sons, David Bradford Harrison of Black Mountain and Lee Tredwell Harrison of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Laura C. McCants, Daniel Chandler and Spc. Robert Harrison; and two great grandchildren, Mary Margret McCants and Virginia McCants.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, September 21st at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church by Rev. Joe Blankinship.
