Mrs. Kaye Guyer Butler, 74, passed away March 9, 2015. Kaye was born in High Point, October 12, 1940, a daughter of Irvin and Mabel Guyer. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Butler, the love of her life. Kaye was a godly woman with an incredible servant’s heart who passionately loved her family. She touched countless lives by showing love to everyone she met. Surviving are her daughter, Wendy Harbinson and husband Eric; son, Jeffery Butler and wife Nancy; sister, Marilyn Poyner; and four beloved grandchildren, Greg, Brett, Kaylee and Cadence. A memorial service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Gilead by Pastor Lee Edwards. The family will receive friends at the church following the service until 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First St., Albemarle, N.C. 28001.
