Surviving Gwen is her son, the Reverend Brandon Scott McNeill, who lives in Bloomington, IN with his wife (Sarah) and Gwen’s two precious grandsons, Elijah and Lucas. She was blessed with a loving family; surviving her are her stepfather (Bill Joyce), two sisters (Kathy Farmer and Barbie Schrieber), nieces and nephews (Billy, Stacy, Josh, Charlie, and Kaitlin) and other family members.
Gwen’s mother (Paulette) preceded her in death in 2015 and her father (George) died in 2004.
There were many things that brought her joy, even as she struggled with physical ailments. She loved supporting friends and family, listening to rock music, making crafts and decorations, riding roller coasters, and had a strong faith in God.
A Celebration of Gwendolyn’s life will be held for her at Fellowship Baptist Church, on Liberty Rd., 528 Old Liberty Rd., Asheboro, Wednesday, February 7 at 2pm by Pastor Larry Stines. Online condolences may be made at davisfuneralsandcremations.com.
