Helen Penninger

Helen was born in Stokes County, June 1, 1930. She graduated from Allen Jay High School in 1947. Helen was a sales person for Jeunique Fashions for over fifty years. She was an active member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.

Surviving are two children, Darrell Wheeler and Joni Vanderslice and her husband Rick; two step-children, Shelly Nichols and Gerald Penninger; four granddaughters; and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Mark Hollar. Memorials may be directed to Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made at davisfuneralsandcremations.com.
