Mrs. Grasso was born Feb. 23, 1921 in New York, New York to Antonio and Francesca Stella Moretti. She was previously employed with the Mido Watch Company in New York and moved with her husband to High Point six years ago. Mrs. Grasso attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensboro. Her family remembers her as a devoted Mother and Wife who had such a big heart of love for such a little woman in statue. She married Mario Grasso on March 17, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 2010.
Surviving are her daughter: Elia Mascia and husband Fred of Greensboro and her son; Michael Grasso and wife Patricia of Louisa, Va.; one granddaughter, Jessica Lain and husband Dennis; and two great grandchildren: Joseph and Dennis Lain, Jr. Mrs. Grassso has one brother, Alfonso Grasso of Bronx, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be on Monday, April 4, 2011, 11:00am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensboro. NC. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Sechrest Funeral Services in High Point, NC.
