James was a United States Army veteran who served from 1967 to 1968 while stationed in Germany. He graduated from High Point University in 2010 Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
James is survived by his wife of 46 years, Anna Winslow Southard; son James “Jimmy” Aubrey Southard Jr. (Keri) and daughter Andrea Dawn Nuzzo (Louie); four grandchildren Lillian Nuzzo, Cameron Southard, Julianna Nuzzo, and Matthew Southard; and brother Charles Robert Southard.
Visitation for James will take place on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 from 6 to 8pm at Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point. Funeral Services will take place on Sunday, September 17th, 2017 at 2:30pm at St. Michael Lutheran Church on Skeet Club Road, Pastor Raymond Petrea officiating.
Burial will follow funeral services at Guilford Memorial Park.
