Jerry H. Nelson

High Point- Jerry H. Nelson, 75, passed away at Hospice Home of High Point on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. A native of High Point, Jerry was born on September 12, 1940 to the late Sam Reid Nelson and Inez Sams Nelson.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Bonna; son Greg (Michelle); grandsons Luke, Nolan and Charles; brother James Nelson (Judy); and nephews Justin and Jacob Nelson.

Anyone that knew Jerry was well aware of his generous nature, love of gospel music. He was particularly known his fondness of food and sharing that food and delivering it to those in need, or who couldn’t get out and about. Jerry helped to start the weekly Cruise-In, Let’s Talk Cars in High Point and loved hot rods, as demonstrated by his business Nelson’s Auto Trim Supply.

The family will receive friends and celebrate Jerry’s life from 4 to 6pm at Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
