Kathleen Sarah Garrett Mills

A lifelong resident of Guilford County, Kathleen was born October 14, 1923 a daughter of the late Clarence and Ruby Toomes Garrett. She was a member of Oakdale United Methodist Church and for over forty years was employed at Oakdale Cotton Mill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Ollie Mae Hopkins and two brothers, Grover and Willard Garrett.

Survivors include her son, the Reverend Jerry Mills and his wife Pat of Randleman; two grandchildren, Karen Shaw and her husband David of Greensboro and Tim Mills of High Point; two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A committal service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Level Cross Baptist Church Cemetery in Level Cross.

Memorial contributions may be made to Oakdale United Methodist Church, 532 Oakdale Road, Jamestown, NC 27282. The family wishes to express their love and appreciation to the entire staff at Westchester Manor for the care Kathleen received and for their concern for the family.
