Mrs. Montgomery was born January 3, 1925 in Winston-Salem the daughter of John W. and Crowlie Taylor Mickey.
She had been a resident of High Point since 1931 and was affiliated with the A & P Company for thirty years. She later worked in the business office of Medical Park Nursing Center for twenty years. Mrs. Montgomery was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, where she had served as a Trustee, a member of the Friendship Class, and the Morning Circle. She was also a member of the American Business Women’s Association and the Lady Lions Club. On October 17, 1942 she married Richard A. Montgomery who preceded her in death in 2001.
Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her son, Richard A. Montgomery of Ithaca, New York;
three grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Montgomery will be conducted Monday at 12 noon in Lebanon United Methodist Church by the Reverend Timothy James. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sechrest Funeral Service on Sunday evening from 7 until 9 p.m.
