From the time I meet Mrs. Moffitt she welcome me in with open arms an a caring heart something I will never forget about her. The smile on her face would brighten up the whole entire room that's how beautiful it was. Mrs. Moffitt loved life, family, children, friends, and sunshine. I will truly miss my sunshine/Mrs. Moffitt.

Oh How we will miss Miss Muffin, as my two children fondly called her.  She was the very first neighbor to welcome us to Otteray and became a kind of surrogate grandmother for Jocelyn and Christopher since my parents still lived in jackson, MS.   We spent many Sundays sitting next to her in church at FUMC and other afternoons stopping by for a visit.   Heaven has certainly welcomed an angel home.  We love you, Miss Moffitt.

From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, went you came in contact with Louise that was the warmth and love you received. A hand shake would not do. She greeted you with a warm smile and opened arms. I will truly miss the way she was willing to share what she had and never meeting a stranger

Mrs. Moffitt was my first grade teacher, as she was for countless others, at Ray Street Elementary school. I would have to rank her as my best teacher ever. She never said a mean or unkind word to any of us. She started off our school experiences in the best possible light. We were so lucky. Her influence stayed with me the rest of my life. Mrs. Moffitt will truly be missed. She would tell me about all the "little babies" she taught throughout her years of being a teacher. She was kind and generous. She would give away her own dinner before she watched someone not eat.  That truthfully shows the type of woman she was.

Louise was a dear friend of my mother, Mayna Allen Hulbert. I remember her well. I also remember riding in her Studebaker.

The sweetest most understanding lady I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Her daughter Sally and I were friends and I remember many a Saturday morning breakfast with her. Always smiling and always thoughtful, she will be missed. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I remember her as a sweet, generous person and wonderful Sunday lunches at her house.

She thought highly of my father, Tom and always remembered me and my mother during the holidays after his death.

She was lovely and I'm sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Moffitt was my 2nd grade teacher. At 60 years old I still remember her kindness like it was yesterday.  Her daughter Sally was my friend until her passing. My sincere condolences to the surviving family.  She was a jewel of a woman.

Miss Moffitt was my 2nd grade teacher at Northwood Elementary School.  Whenever anyone asks who was your favorite teacher growing up, Miss Moffitt is the automatic answer.  Two years go I was driving home from work.  I passed an elderly lady out walking who looked familiar...I circled back around and knew instantly it was Miss Moffitt.  I stopped, got out and spoke to her, telling her my name.  She broke into that wonderful smile and began telling me how she remembered me and many of my classmates from 1963. An absolutely amazing woman who touched and positively influenced countless children through her teaching and caring.  Heaven has gained a beautiful soul.

Ms Moffitt was such a nice and kind lady to the Maxwell Family over the years.  I am sorry for your loss.

I started school in 1941 at Ray Street School. Lived at 207 Parkway. Was very timid, if it had not been for Miss Bell I would have gone back home the very first day. I still have my 1st grade class picture. I made several copies and gave one to Faye Kendall Wright (who played bridge with her) to give to her several years ago. I had a 6 year old love for her. She was always my favorite teacher..  Have a good trip my sweet teacher..  Joel Paul  (80 years old)
