

Mrs. Robbins was born in Forsyth County on May 18,1921 to James Walter and Maude Johnson Williams. She lived the majority of her life in Queens, New York. Mrs. Robbins was employed with Chase Manhattan Bank as a teller until her retirement. She relocated to High Point to be near her son in December of 2009. Mrs. Robbins was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Winston Salem and loved singing in the choir. She was a caring, loving, person who opened her home to those in need. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Robbins in October of 2003. Also preceding her in death were her parents, her sister, Virginia Williams, and her brother, Samuel Williams.
She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Call Hunt and husband Richard of Pensacola, Fla. and a son, John P. Robbins and wife Linda with whom she made her home. Mrs. Robbins has five grandchildren, Yvonne, Michael, and Thomas Lovaglio and John W. and James P. Robbins. There are three great grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Emma, and Sofia Lovaglio. Also surviving are her sister-in-law; Selma Williams of Franklin Square, NY, a niece, Christine Bellucci and husband Daniel, Great nephews; Daniel and Christopher Bellucci, her very dear friend, Elizabeth Magnenat and her many close friends in Long Island, NY.
A funeral service for Mrs. Robbins will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Kindred Hospital in Greensboro by Evangelist Carey Johnson. A Memorial Service will be held in Astoria, New York on Saturday, September 29th at 10:00 am in the New Apostolic Church , 3060 47th Street, Astoria, New York. The family requests that memorials be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice, rather than to the funerals.
