Mark W. Dawson, 58, passed away in High Point. Mark was born in Lakewood, California, January 29, 1959, a son of Shelton Phelps Dawson and Victoria Wallace Dawson. He was very involved with his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Colfax Ward and Boy Scout Troop 122 at the church. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are his wife, Pam Dawson; his father, Shelton Dawson; three brothers, Grant Dawson, Blake Dawson and his wife Grayson and Scot Dawson and his wife Alla, and numerous other extended family members. A Celebration of Mark’s life will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8934 W. Market St., Colfax, NC 27235 by Bishop Scott Tucker at 11 am.. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Memorials may be directed to Colfax Ward, c/o Bishop Scott Tucker, 8700 Shady Hill Ct., Colfax, NC 27235.
