Mary Theresa Wardell, age 97, of Jamestown, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Shannon Gray Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mary was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 5, 1926 to the late Joseph and Mary Consorte Palumbo. She was a bookkeeper in retail for some years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Wardell and daughters, Delores Baker and Anna Marie Pennetta. Mary is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Magbee and Claudia Garafalo, and numerous other family members.

Funeral mass will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1pm at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church by Father Baiju Paul on 4145 Johnson Street, High Point, NC 27265. An inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
