Mrs. Nancy Horne Grenon, 76 passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024. Nancy was born July 12, 1947 in Wadesboro, NC to Mr. James Lewis and Mrs. Frances Gaddy Horne. She was a dedicated nurse of over 40 years, eventually retiring at Women’s Hospital in Greensboro.
Nancy dedicated her life to caring for others with compassion and skill. Her career touched countless lives with her healing touch and kind heart. She leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and service, remembered fondly by colleagues, patients, and loved ones alike. Nancy’s devotion to the Carolina Tar Heels was surpassed only by her dedication to God and her family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving is her son; Mr. James P. and wife Dr. Sarah Grenon of Stokesdale and granddaughters, Miss Emily and Miss Eleanor Grenon. Nancy is also survived by a special cousin, Mrs. Dean Peacock of High Point.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Chapel, 967 Phillips Avenue, High Point by Pastor Andy Cook of The Summit Church. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
