Tammy was born in High Point, June 23, 1966, a daughter of Laverne and Elizabeth Ann McDowell Grooms. A life-long resident, she was a graduate of High Point Central High School. Tammy also received her associate degree in graphic design and photography from GTCC. She enjoyed crafts, painting and photography. Tammy was a mother to many kids. She was preceded in death by her father.
Surviving are her husband, Charles David Deal; a daughter, Tamra Skeen and husband Cory; a son, Paul “Buddy” Allen, Jr. and wife Amy; her mother, Elizabeth Grooms; two sisters, Savannah “Judy” Brown and Vickie Lynn Peeler; a brother, Leverne Lee Grooms, Jr. and wife Penny; seven grandchildren, Tavin, Damyen, Carter, Trenton, Dakota, Caitlin and Zander; and numerous other “family” members.
A Celebration of Tammy’s life will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. James Harris.
