Terry Lane Green, 57, of Jamestown, passed away on September 9, 2013 after a brave battle to survive complications of a tractor-trailer accident on April 4, 1989 in Georgia. He was born at Wilkes General Hospital, Wilkesboro, NC on July 5, 1956. He was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC. Terry had a wonderful sense of humor and would use his beautiful blue eyes to communicate, as he could not speak following his accident.
He is survived by his mother Jo Ann Green of the home, his only brother William Timothy Green of Virginia, his daughter Beverly Green Ackerman and husband Tim of High Point. He is also survived by his grandson Leland Ackerman, a niece Manessa Green, an uncle James Broyhill, and five cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Thursday at Shining Light Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC by Rev. Billy McDaniel and Rev. Steve Whitt. Interment will follow the service in the Shining Light Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 2-3pm on Thursday.
