Thomas “Tommy” Gordon Jackson Jr., 59, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Thomasville Medical Center surrounded by his wife and other family members. He was born on November 25, 1962 in Newberry, SC to Thomas and Carole Irick Jackson.
Tommy grew up in the Boiling Springs, SC area. During his younger years, Tommy enjoyed competition bench pressing. Tommy competed in arm wrestling tournaments. Remote control vehicles were a passion of his, and he loved to ride his Harley and drive his 07 white Corvette. Tommy worked at NTW for over 15 years and loved his job as well as his co-workers. He was a member of Archdale First Church of God. Tommy had a big heart and he didn’t hold back on the things he loved, and that goes for the people in his life also.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving Tommy are his mother Carole Greene; his wife of 10 years, Teresa Jackson; daughter, Allie Jackson; sons: Cole Jackson, Shannon Taylor and James France; sister, Meri Flynn & husband Scott; brother, Les Jackson & wife Angie. Tommy is also survived by many extended family members.
A Celebration of Tommy’s Life will be Thursday, December 23 at 11 am by Pastor Hallie Scott at Archdale First Church of God. Immediately following the service, there will be a committal at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night, December 22 from 6p-8p at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 976 Phillips Avenue, High Point.
Tommy will be missed greatly by his family, his co-workers and customers at NTW, and all who knew him.
