

In honor of the most special person, Victor Allen - a loving caring husband, a "papa Smurf" daddy, a "honey" of a granddaddy, and a genuine friend to all he met- family and friends are invited to gather to share stories and celebrate his life on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Sechrest Funeral home in High Point. Family and friends will gather on Friday at 3 pm at English Road Baptist Church in High Point in a service of remembrance led by Jim Summey, his pastor and friend.
Vic was a life long member at English Road where he served as deacon, committee member/chair, choir member and caretaker of the people, the staff and the buildings. He served his community by working to start many community projects and by delivering Merita bread to all of High Point for 27 years. Upon his official retirement, he began his service at Harris Teeter for the last 15 years sharing his love for people with a smile and "how are you doing today?" He leaves behind a team of family to continue his legacy of serving others.
His wife of 57 years, Doris Allen and life time "honey".
His 4 children - Daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Sidney Grant of High Point
Son and daughter-in-law Steve and Janice Allen of York, SC
His 6 grandchildren - Keri and Adam Branson;
Aubrey Grant and Duncan Hill;
Colby Grant
Cassie Allen
and lots of cats.
