Barbara Jean Grennier

Barbara Jean Grennier, 90, of Milford, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024. Barbara exemplified independence and a deep love for her own family throughout her life. She was married for nearly 73 wonderful years to her beloved husband, Laverne Grennier.

A dedicated homemaker, Barbara was known for her quick wit and hospitality. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, where she delighted family and friends with her renowned apple pie and Sunday night beef roasts. Beyond her culinary talents, she had a passion for travel, particularly enjoying the serene mountains of North Carolina.

An avid reader, Barbara found joy in the pages of mystery and romance novels. She also enjoyed playing cards, with a particular fondness for solitaire, which provided her with many peaceful moments.

Along with her loving husband Laverne, Barbara is survived by her children Deborah Mathews, Pamela (John) Patteeuw, Martin (Lisa) Grennier, and Loren (Theresa) Grennier, as well as her 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Barbara will be remembered for her strong spirit, devotion to her family, and the countless memories she created with loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished moments that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
