Daniel V.Succarde, age 94 of Howell, passed away June 29, 2011. Loving father of Daniel D. (Karen), proud grandfather of Daniel J. and Lindsay (Scott) Francuck, great grandfather of Jameson and Lucia. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice VanMaele Succarde. Dan served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII in the South Pacific. The funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Rd., White Lake. Mr. Succarde will lie in state at the church from 10 am until the time of service. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Rd., Highland. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery under the Auspices of the United States Marine Corps.
