Evelyn C. DeSmith, age 94, of White Lake, MI, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence F. DeSmith, Sr.; dearly loved mother of Patricia (Ronald) Sygiel, Ernest (Mary Rita) DeSmith, and the late Lawrence (Laura) DeSmith; grandmother of eight; great-grandmother of eleven; and sister of Jerome Kenny. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Kenny, brother Harry Kenny, and sisters Dorothy McCloskey and Eileen Smolski. Friends and family are invited to share in Evelyn’s memory at Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Rd., Highland MI on Wednesday, January 21 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Mrs. DeSmith will lie in state at St. Patrick Parish, 9086 Hutchins Rd., White Lake, MI on Thursday, January 22 from 10:00am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.
