Hazel Ann DePlancke

Hazel Ann DePlancke, age 88, of Davisburg, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her home. Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Ronald (Suzie) DePlancke, Kathryn (Timothy Trombley) DePlancke, and John (Ann Mankowski) DePlancke; her five grandchildren: Michelle, Jeff, Michael, Steven, and Kyle; her five great-grandchildren; and her three siblings: Jean Krantz, Barbara Mundinger, and Richard Hartley.

Hazel was born August 7, 1933, in Pontiac, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas & Edna Hartley. She married the love of her life, Albert DePlancke, on March 31, 1956, and they shared sixty-five wonderful years together until Albert’s death in 2021. Throughout her adult life, Hazel worked as a secretary at Midwest Asphalt Company in order to put her daughter Kathryn through nursing school. In her free time, Hazel greatly enjoyed decorating cakes, playing the organ, or enjoying a Suduko puzzle! She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Hazel will be greatly missed.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Edna; her loving husband, Albert; and her sister, Roberta Kamasis.

In accordance with Hazel’s wishes, cremation will take place. No public services have been scheduled at this time.
