I was shocked when I heard of Jim's passing. I am so sorry for your loss...he was a good friend, a man of many words and he possessed an incredible sense of humor. One of the first plays I saw as a student at Wayne State was "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" and I just had to know the astonishing actor who portrayed Randle McMurphy! That energy and lust for life was so much a part of Jim...he will be missed!

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  We went to college together at Rutgers University in the '70's.  Jim was known to everyone as "Ski," and wherever he went, the party followed.  With his sly smile and slight nod of the head, he made me laugh at impossible situations.  We worked together on a production of Godspell, in which he played Jesus.  He was a true talent with a beautiful singing voice. A steadfast friend, who doled out sage advice as readily as a sarcastic quip, Ski was much loved and admired. He packed ten lives into one, and his larger than life presence was a gift. RIP, friend.

To Jim's family and friends I send my sincere condolences. "Ski" and I acted in several shows together, "Godspell" being one of them. We shared an apartment for a year in NYC, played music, and went through many, many things together. I would say that he made an unforgettable impact on the lives of everyone he knew. I can imagine what Jim would say in response to these words. He could always laugh, and he could always make others laugh, and that's the part of him I will always keep with me.

We had some crazy times at Rutgers and Regency Manor. They were fun, creative, artful and memorable! Rest in Peace compadre.

To all of Jim's family & friends...I was very much saddened to learn of Jim's passing.  I worked in some theatre productions with him  number of years ago and although we eventually lost touch, I never forgot how much he made me laugh.  RIP, Jim.

We lost a great guy last week from the FHS Class of 65.  Jim Siatkowski passed away on August 11.  I don't know anyone who enjoyed the reunions more.  He will be missed.  

Here's what he wrote for the last reunion (2005):
I have lived in Michigan, New Jersey and New York. I attended Northern Michigan University and Wayne State University to receive my BFA undergraduate degree. I was a MFA candidate at Rutgers University Graduate School. I have a son, Owein, who is 23.
I've lived in New York City for almost 30 years and consider myself an absolute New Yorker and although I've been to many different parts of this world, I can't imagine living anywhere else except New York City. I live in Manhattan's Little Italy and play an active part in the city's art community, being first an actor, then singer and sculptor. I make the occasional appearance on TV, usually bits in the usual New York shows, and many appearances in commercials and some voice-overs. My first love is, of course, the stage. I have my own theatre company, which was started two years ago and is finally getting off the ground. Since few actors can depend on a steady income from acting, I have developed a small contracting business over the years and do renovation and restoration work. My input, other than managerial, is cabinetmaker and I really do love making furniture. Then of course I am the quintessential collector of art and antiques. Some of my collections consist of Pre-Colombian artifacts, Han and Ming dynasty china, African masks and fetishes, oriental carpets and a large collection of antique tools, some dating back to the 1600s. Well that's enough and I look forward to seeing old friends soon.

Jimmy - My Big Brother.  My heart is broken.  I miss you so much already.  How will my heart ever mend?  I will miss our talks, Christmas together, your sense of humor, your smile, you correcting my english, your laugh, your teasing, your neatness.  I will love you forever.

This was unexpected.  I miss you already Jim.  You were a wonderful friend and we had so much fun in the 60's.  What a great life.  We wish God's blessings on your family.

I always remember laughing when I was with Jim.  Sometimes it was a contest to see who had the wittier comments!  He was very generous, kind, always helpful.  Jim was also worldly and wise, a very practical person that always gave good advice.  He was talented in so many ways, acting, carpentry, cooking; a real Renaissance guy.  Most importantly, he was a dear friend. I miss him.

Jimmy, I am going to forever Love and miss you my big brother......Christmas will not be the same without you.
