John Arthur Halpin, age 82, of Highland; passed away on November 20, 2011. Mr. Halpin was the owner of B & J Cabinets and was a former member of the Elk's in Pontiac. Beloved husband of the late Leota Halpin; dear father of John (Tammy) Halpin, Debbie (Jerry) Almas, Lisa (Gregg) Bembeneck; proud grandfather of 16, which includes his special granddaughter and caretaker Carla Walters; great-grandfather of 19; great-great-grandfather of 7; caring brother of Eleanor and the late Jean. The memorial visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2011, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. The memorial service will be Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home; inurnment will be Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home for American Heart Association.
