Pat gone. Pat gone. Two words in the past sense that we received from her loving husband Dr Raouf Saad Hanna. And in the announcement it recorded Patricia life: Pat was born. Pat went to school; was selected miss beauty. Graduated from. Married had two sons. Worked at. And a recitation of her outstanding achievements in her short life. All in the past sentence. Well I shall talk about Pat in the present sense because I am sure she is still alive in our hearts. Actually as she has been fond of the Egyptian religion and history as evidenced her visit to egypt several times her soul is hovering around us now before it is released to her creator. Thus to me she hears me and feels the grief we all have for her physical ascending to heavens.
Memories flow in our minds about Pat. Several are worth sharing.
Pat was a believer in god and the Virgin Mary. If you look at the vessel that is surrounded her body you notice as my friend Maurice directed my attention on the right hand corner a three dimensional picture of saint mary and on the left hand corner a depiction of the ANKH the symbol of life of the Egyptians. She is a believer in life after ascending to heavens.
Pat is very considerate of other people and their well-being. When I was in the hospital she was the first to call my wife and offer help
Pat is determined to enjoy her earthly life with her husband. I remember one time I was trying to convince Dr Raouf to accept the position offered to him as Vice President Of the university. We were returning from the restaurant but in very loud voice and when Pat voice rises to 250 decibels you listen. Her reasoning was determined and in simple emotional tone she said because I love him and I want to spend all available time together. And they did and enjoyed every minute of their lives together as she wished the mutually loving and devoted couple to each other.
Pat was passionate about wine and boy was she a connoisseur. In a visit to her sister in California she was appa

It has been said that:”True friends are never truly gone. Their spirit lives on in memories of those who loved them.” With the passing of our dear friend Pat, we know that grieving will never bring her back and time is the only healer. Our friendship with her and her beloved husband Raouf, brought us together on different happy occasions. In addition, our memorable one-week reunions, of four long-time friends from Egypt and their spouses , will always bring us happy memories. As time passes, all of these fond memories will remind us of what a special person Pat was. She will be sorely missed, and our love for her and Raouf will leave memories that will last forever. God bless her soul and provide her loving husband with inner peace.

Aunt Pat was an elegant woman with a kind heart. Her love of people was apparent with every interaction. Praying for peace and strength for you, Uncle Raouf. May her memory be eternal and may her soul dwell with the righteous.

Pat had an insatiable curiosity about the world and how other people lived, worshiped, their cuisine and values. This curiosity stemmed basically from her appetite for life and open mind to other peoples and cultures. What I recall most, however, about Pat is that she was very giving …… she was concerned about your well-being …… how you’re doing …… and because of her professional knowledge about health matters, she was always ready with valuable advice and if she didn’t know, she would look for it and come back to you with what she had found out. She will be missed.
