Proud grandmother of Stephanie, Jessica, Ami, Hilary, Olivia and Stuart, and great-grandmother of Alissa, Dillon, Destiny, Dean, Carter, Hugh, Adia, Aubrie, Spencer, Hayden and Remley. Dear friend of Marilyn Brown, and Bob and Bev McBride. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter F. Papke and June Azyn. Highland Rd., Highland.
Patricia graduated from St. Agnes in Detroit. After marrying James W. Mann in 1955, she continued to take the train from Pontiac to the Penobscot building in Detroit where she worked as a switch board operator. She loved living on Middle Straits Lake, and played a significant role in organizing the Middle Straits Lake Improvement Association. She also helped start the Great Lakes Overhead Door Company. Once her children were in school full time she went to work at O.C.C. (Highland Campus) as the Food Service Manager. She continued to volunteer at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac as well. In 2001, Pat retired from Orchard Lake Country Club where she worked once again, as a switch board operator. Pat had great love for animals, and was known to bring in strays and heal the wounded. She also found great pleasure in gardening, doing jig saw puzzles, spending time with her family and friends, as well as attending church. As a mother and friend she was the best anyone could ask for. She loved unconditionally with her whole heart, was always eager to lend a helping hand, and was a wonderful listening ear. Her words of wisdom touched everyone she knew. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
