Phyllis was a faithful Christ follower and a member of White Lake Presbyterian Church where she was known not only for her warm spirit, but also for her chiffon cake and fruit pies.
Phyllis enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved reading, shopping, casino trips with her sister, baking bread, canning, listening to music, and escaping the cold Michigan winters in Florida. She and Charles together traveled the world, to China, Irland, and Australia to name a few. While Charles enjoyed fishing, Phyllis would sit in the boat and read, content in the companionship and quiet joy they shared.
Family gatherings were among her favorites. She loved the noise and chaos of having everyone together. Her love of her family was unconditional, and she was proud of them all.
Phyllis will be remembered for her kindness and strong faith in God. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love for her family and all that were blessed to know her.
A private graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery.
