In loving kindness we want to share in the memory of Mom, Grandmother and Friend - Roberta Harrington.  We know Mike, Karen, Lee and John.  We have been friends since 1983. ( Mike and I are still friends) To, Mike's sisters and family memebers, I say, Mike and I are like brothers, from Military days,graduate school, to vacations in the U. S. and in Mexico and many family parties --- I know Mike had a wonderful Mother and Father who cared and shared the needs of his life with loving care. 
May God bless "MOM's" memory and may God bless each of you.

We know Mom (grandma) had heart problems at the end but I like to think she died of a broken heart. She was pretty healthy when Dad (grandpa) passed away, but they had shared 64 years together. She would take another ten year journey-but she missed her sweetheart John (grandpa), so much that when she took ill a few weeks ago, she was lured toward heaven, for the opportunity to be back at his side. 

MOTHER,

I'M THANKFUL FOR ALL THAT YOU GAVE ME:

A STURDY BODY AND STRONG MIND. A HARDWORKING, LOVING FATHER AND FOUR PROTECTIVE SISTERS TO LOOK OUT FOR ME. NURTURING GRANDPARENTS, AUNTS, UNCLES AND COUSINS, NIECES , NEPHEWS, A WONDERFUL EXTENDED FAMILY.

THE LOVE THAT YOU GAVE TO MY KAREN, SONS LEE AND JON, AND GRANDSONS AIDAN AND QUINN.

THE HOME THAT YOU PROVIDED, THE NOURISHMENT YOU PREPARED, THE LESSENS YOU TAUGHT.

YOU HAD A WAY OF COMMUNICATING YOUR BLESSING OR DISAPPROVAL LIKE MOST MOTHER DO, AND I'M A BETTER PERSON FOR IT. YOUR LOVING AND OCCASIONALLY CRITICAL VOICE WILL FOREVER REMAIN A PART OF ME.

I FOREVER WILL MISS:

YUMMY DESERTS, CAKES, PIES AND COOKIES, FEW PEOPLE POSSESS SUCH BAKING TALENT. YOUR POT-ROAST WITH POTATOES, CARROTS, ONIONS, CELERY. MY MOUTH WATERS WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT.

OUR LONG TALKS ON THE PHONE.

OUR TO INFREQUENT VISITS TOGETHER. I REGRET LIVING SO FAR AWAY. I ESPECIALLY WISH MY BOYS KNEW YOU BETTER!

DOING HOUSE REPAIRS FOR YOU. I DISCOVERED A PLUMBING LEAK MONDAY AND FIXED IT YESTERDAY. I ALSO UNCLOGGED YOUR BATHTUB DRAIN. I KNEW YOU WOULD APPRECIATE IT.

YOUR BAWDY SENSE OF HUMOR AND YOUR INFECTIOUS LAUGH! YOUR LOVE OF WINNING AT CARD GAMES!

YOUR KISSES AND HUGS! YOUR UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!

I was lucky to have you around for 37 years of my life. Thank you for all the great memories and for being at my wedding. Most of all thank you for raising my dad to be a great man. Love always.

A wonderful mother-in-law, grandma and great grandma and the best mom to my husband Mike. We will all miss you and love you very much. I wish I could be in Michigan with the rest of the family today but know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
