Loving son of Jason and Lauren Bowling. Cherished big brother of Brooke Danielle Bowling.
Ryan was born in Tampa, Florida on August 1st, 2013, to parents, Jason and Lauren (nee Walters) Bowling. He attended Mary Bryant Elementary School and Farnell Middle School. He was a happy, silly, smart, and inquisitive child, always asking the most interesting questions, and appreciated deep conversations. He enjoyed having these conversations with his Poppa and enjoyed talking around the fire pit with friends at his favorite neighbor’s house.
Ryan enjoyed learning about the solar system and had fun with his telescope. He witnessed a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse, and recently had taken a trip to Kennedy Space center to view a rocket launch and received a private tour. In his younger years, Ryan always loved numbers, and said when he grew up, he wants to be a salesman. He later decided he was interested in app design and also thought it would fun to run his own food truck. He enjoyed swimming, gaming, and being outside with friends playing in the woods. Ryan was always dancing around the living room, to live music, and even at chemotherapy.
After Ryan was diagnosed with cancer in 2020, he tried to make the best of his time at the hospital, but mostly wanted quiet time while there. He received countless treatments at both St. Joseph Children's Hospital in Tampa as well as traveling often to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio. He would talk with his medical teams to get to know them a little better, and it was often mentioned that he was charming, and that he asked interesting questions.
Ryan's memory will forever be cherished by his parents, his sister Brooke, and his grandparents, Dan Bowling, Glenn and Karen Walters, his Aunt Danielle (Jeff) Roland, Uncle Patrick (Angela) Walters, Uncle Jeff (Lisa) Bowling, Uncle Kyle Inglis, Aunt Kelly Bowling, and cousins Haley, Carson, Ian, Ainsley, Simon, Mina, and J.J. He is preceded in death by his grandma, Nicki Bowling, and his aunt, Donna Kay Inglis.
