Vada Mae McAuley, age 88, of Highland, Michigan, was born June 24, 1934 in Rose Hill, Virginia, and passed away June 11, 2023 in Waterford, Michigan. Beloved wife of the late William McAuley. Loving mother Debra (Marilyn Bradford) Sarosy, Timothy (Cristy) McAuley, Sharon Crawford, and Susan (David) Sebring. Proud grandmother of William Sarosy, Emily Sarosy, Michelle (Kayla) McAuley, Jennifer (Dustin) Lucius, Stephanie (Ryan) Munro, Clinton Crawford, Taylor Crawford, Nathan Crawford, Sarah Crawford, Parker (fiancée Kaylee Kean) Simmons, Austin Simmons, Macauley Simmons, April (Chris) Sanberg, and Michelle (Phil) Bekkala. Treasured great-grandmother of Andrew, Vada, Berkley, Harrison, and Arlo. Dear sister of Billy (the late Rita) Reed. Vada was preceded in passing by her parents, Mose and Dorsie (Sherrill) Reed; her siblings, Raymond, Leonard, J.R., Cleeta, Lois, and Blanche; and her son-in-law, Andy Sarosy. Vada will be missed by numerous other family members and friends.
Memorial Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 12:00pm with a Memorial Luncheon to follow at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the White Lake Presbyterian Church.
