It is with great sadness that the family of Anita Quintero announces her passing. Anita, born in Lockhart, Texas on November 21, 1939, was a long-term resident of Holland. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother was called home on September 5, 2024, at the age of 84.
Anita was an amiable, hard-working and resilient woman. Her infectious smile brought you sunshine on a rainy day, her faith in God was inspiring and her love for thrifting was unmatched. She has a forever home in our hearts and her legacy will live on through the many people she has touched.
Anita is survived by her children, Mary (Marcel) Arocha, Irene Chapa, Raymond (Linda) Quintero, Sara (Bill) Vankampen and Melissa Rodriguez; as well as her siblings, Ruby Mendoza, Roy (Annis) Cantu, Anicleta (Javier) Lopez, Delia Cantu and Minerva Cantu.
Once the bridge to 5 generations of her living family, she now leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Her love and light will be sorely missed.
