Athalia M Silverthorne Heuvel

She was born in North Carolina and eventually moved to Holland when her husband became the Miller at Windmill Island. She never lost her southern accent or the warm southern personality. She loved talking to people and with her strangers quickly became friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Heuvel in 2015. She is survived by her children, Hans and Lori Heuvel, Tina and Ted Trevino, Jackie and Steve Boss, Robin and Steve Brandsen; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Susan Butler; in-laws Fred and Shoko Heuvel, Gonnie and Howard Lewis, Tina and Eric Stoll, Jan and Lisa Heuvel; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St. in Holland. Interment North Holland Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
