Little Miss Carina touched the lives of many in her 29 years on this earth. She was known for her wonderful smile, joyous laughter, spunky personality and beautiful eyes. Despite the medical challenges throughout her life, Carina was a shining example for others as she maintained a joyful spirit and positive attitude while facing those difficulties.
Carina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, getting out to the park or beach, and venturing off to try new restaurants or check out different Mexican stores. She had a sense of adventure with an eagerness to travel, near or far. She had a zest for life and always ready for a gathering or party, especially those with cookouts and piñatas. At home, Carina took on the responsibility of caring for the family dogs, Uno (she claimed as hers), Duke and Chewy. She also made it her job to check on how her loved ones were doing with a phone call or message. Carina was seldom ever seen without a cute hat, fun gloves or oversized headphones.
Carina graduated from Black River High School, completed Ready for Life Academy at Hope College and attended Young Adult Services through Ottawa Area Intermediate School District. Armed with an array of knowledge, Carina could carry on a conversation with anyone on just about any topic.
May Carina’s unique, sweet and caring soul continue to be a blessing to all and inspire others to be kind, full of joy and to truly live life to the fullest.
