I am taking my last road trip. David G. Cross 68 from Holland, MI. passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids, MI with family by his side. David was born in Canton, Ohio, the fourth of five boys to Leroy and Esther Cross.
David served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1965 till 1969. His Coast Guard service stations were Holland, Traverse City and Manistee, MI. David was on the search and rescue teams for these areas.
David was a professional truck driver for over 25 years. Before going on disability he drove for XPO (Conway Freight) Holland MI. David enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, yard work (he was always proud of his flower garden), decorating his yard at Christmas, and bowling. David loved to play the lotto. He had this notion that one day he would win the big one. David loved his dogs and we always had at least one in the house at all times.
His family and friends know that David fought his health battles with courage and determination.
