"Dean" Thomas Woodbury

Dean was born in Los Angeles, CA January 30, 1956 to Dean and Isabel Woodbury. He worked at Fazio’s Grocery store out of high school in multiple positions, and eventually working his way up to cashier. He became a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in 1979 at the Downey, CA office, and retired in Holland after 39 years. Dean was an exceptional letter carrier and enjoyed his patrons on his Lakeshore route. He was loved by many of them and made some wonderful friendships who continued to walk with him through his ALS journey. He attended Jamestown Baptist Church in Hudsonville.

Dean is survived by his wife of 43 years, Tricia Woodbury; sons Gerin Dean (Diana) Woodbury, Jacob Alan (Katy) Woodbury, and daughter Jennifer Lane Woodbury; 5 grandchildren, Aidan, Raze, Berrit, Ayla, and Josie; brothers John Fox and David Woodbury; in-laws Jeanette Silverman, Lorraine Hatch, and April Mora; many extended family and friends.

A private graveside service will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Hamilton.

A memorial celebration of Dean’s life will be held at Jamestown Baptist Church 2472 Quincy Street in Hudsonville, MI 49426 on Thursday May 12, 2022 at 11:00 am.
